Hi, I’m Kristi LaRowe, and I am running for Isanti County Commissioner in District 5.

I am a long-time resident of Isanti County and have made it my home for the last 36 years.  My husband and family have been farming in rural Isanti County for decades, and some of the farmland has been in the family for over 100 years.  In 2021 last year we were awarded the Farm Family of the year.  We have four children and six grandchildren. We are proud to call Isanti County our home!

As a young wife and mother, I set aside a few years to spend time raising my children, and helping with the farm.  I took a college course or two learning QuickBooks, payroll and the skills needed to balance a business.  Aside from raising my family, I enjoyed volunteering at the schools my children attended, and volunteering at Church. I have been the secretary, treasurer, and Team Leader in fundraising, plus started an Outreach Program for new visitors.

My life’s goal is to give back to my community, as best I can. I have a deep belief that our community is an amazing place to call home, and that our people, schools, and businesses have much to offer for the future of Minnesota.  I believe we need to create good jobs locally and support young people in obtaining work here in Isanti County. In the position of County Commissioner, I would focus on cultivating the strengths of Isanti County, and working together to better the future of Isanti County residents.

I believe that a Public Servant is just that, a servant to the people.  As Commissioner I would focus as much time as I can to listen to people from all townships, communities and corners of the county, so I can pass that information to the board of commissioners and make decisions in favor of the people of Isanti County.

My opponent, Susan Morris, recently took part in taking away the voice of the people of Isanti County. Did you know that the County Recorder, and Auditor are now appointed positions?  When these positions are appointed by the Commissioners, that is who they are answering to  – not the people. Let the people choose! Appointing these  positions is one more freedom lost, and more government overreach. Let’s all help put the power back in the hands of the people – and let’s start with Isanti County.

If you are ready to get Isanti County back on track, please consider supporting this campaign, and the future of our community.

Thank you and God Bless!
